Performers ready to entertain thousands at Circle of Lights® presented by

The Contractors of Quality Connection and Electrical Workers of IBEW 481

Live program showcases Broadway's Lion King and local talent

Thousands of Central Indiana residents and visitors will be on hand to see live performances by several entertainers who were chosen to perform in the FREE 46th annual Circle of Lights® presented by the Contractors of Quality Connection and Electrical Workers of IBEW 481 event held on Monument Circle in Indianapolis Nov. 28.

Seven exciting acts perform during the pre-show from 6 - 7 p.m. and the live, televised show (WRTV-6) from 7 - 8 p.m. The acts were chosen from hundreds of entertainers. Broadway in Indianapolis The Lion King cast members, Dan'yelle Williams (Nala) and Marquis Moss (Simba), will perform "Can you feel the love tonight?" Local performers include 4 Glory, Indianapolis-native Steven Quinn, 10-year-old Maria Diebolt, house band Greta Speaks, soloist Staci McCrackin, Indianapolis Civic Theatres Act One and the Capitol Quartet performing during commercial breaks.

Dan'yelle Williamson and Marquis Moss are performing in Broadway in Indianapolis The Lion King playing at the Murat Center through Dec. 28. Williamson is a Tampa native and Boston Conservatory alumni. Shes performed in Broadways Wicked as well. Moss is a Washington DC native and Clark Atlanta University graduate. He has been a background vocalist for Patti LaBelle, Case and Aretha Franklin and is a Zomba music publishing songwriter.

4 Glory, from Montgomery County, is a new gospel quartet comprised of high school seniors Brian Swick, Lacey Kriston, Meagan Huckstep and sophomore Tyler Huckstep. They have been singing together for several years, but this is there first year performing together. So far they've appeared more than 80 times.

Steven Quinn is an Indianapolis native who specializes in Christian music. His soothing renditions of gospel standards and contemporary Christian hymns show his true gift of music. Quinn has shared the stage with music greats Kenny Rogers, Sandi Patty, Sara Evans and many more. He has sung the National Anthem for the Indianapolis Colts and performed for the Gulf States Relief Concert. Quinn is currently working on this third album.

Maria Diebolt is a 10-year-old fourth grader at St. Louis de Monfort Catholic School in Fishers. She won Grand Champion Junior Division from the Hamilton County Fair Talent Contest in 2007 and has performed at Cookies N Santa, the Fishers Freedom Festival and the Indiana State Fair. Maria hopes to either have a TV show of her own or to perform on Broadway in her future.

House band Greta Speaks delivers a wide range of rock and pop classics to audiences across Central Indiana from clubs to the Big Ten Mens Basketball Tournament Alumni Party. Members include Amber Catron and Vince Saul, lead vocals, John Gennett, guitar & vocals, Dave Root, percussion & vocals, Tony Satterthwaite, bass guitar & vocals and Mike Keough, keyboards & vocals.

Staci McCrackin is an Indianapolis native, lead singer in local band "Euphony" and former lead singer for "Toy Factory." She has been singing since age eight and has opened for artists Kenneth Edmonds, Montell Jordan, Foxy Brown and others. McCrackin has spent 15 years in theatre and as a commercial artist. Look for her in the televised version of "Christmas Under the Stars" this year.

ACT ONE is a program of the Indianapolis Civic Theatre and its educational wing, Jr. Civic. The group consists of Central Indiana residents age 6  15. The mission of Act One is to provide multiple performance opportunities for young performers while teaching the value of teamwork and discipline. The group has been at several community events including 500 Festival Kids Day and the 2006 Circle of Lights® presented by the Contractors of Quality Connection and Electrical Workers of IBEW 481.

The Capitol Quartet is considered to be one of the most exciting chamber ensembles performing today. It is comprised of saxaphonists Marty Nau, Christopher Creviston, David Stambler and Andrew Dahlke, who are teaching faculty at the countrys leading music schools as well as alumni of the Premiere U.S. Military Band. Since its formation in 1991, the Capitol Quartet has performed regularly at major concert venues throughout the United States, earning wide acclaim of the ensembles musical versatility and innovative style.

Additionally, Capt. Lisa Kopczynski, public affairs officer of the 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Indiana National Guard, will sing the National Anthem (around 6:54 p.m.) Capt. Kopczynski was stationed at Joint Base Balad, Iraq and was part of the largest deployment of Indiana National Guardsman since WWII. Kopczynski was recently a contestant in the U.S. Army Entertainment Division's "Operation Rising Star." The competition was held at 47 military installations world-wide. She was selected as one of the 12 semi-finalist to travel to Ft. Belvior, Virginia to compete for the title where she was a runner up. She was a guest vocalist on two songs written and recorded last year for the 76th Brigade prior to their departure. (Link: www.76ibct.org/multi/songs.htm)

Circle of Lights® presented by the Contractors of Quality Connection and Electrical Workers of IBEW 481 kicks off the holiday season in Downtown Indianapolis. Each year for 46 years, thousands of people gather to see the décor that adorns the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. The event is free and will take place Friday, Nov. 28 beginning at 6 p.m. with the televised show starting at 7 p.m. Those in attendance will surely be delighted by the new decor, larger-than-life toy soldiers and sailors and peppermint sticks surrounding the Monument, while 56,700 twinkle lights in trees add shimmer to the walkways. In addition, Santa will make his first official appearance of the 2008 holiday season and fireworks will end the celebration.

Quality Connection represents 80 union contractors and more than 2,400 IBEW 481 electrical workers committed to the partnership of labor and management working together.
